The story of NEPS Roofing begins long before the first roof was ever replaced.
Tim Forbes and Chris Retos have known each other most of their lives—growing up in the same community, sharpening their skills against one another on the basketball court and golf course. Their early bond was built on friendly competition and mutual respect, a dynamic that would carry through their personal and professional lives.
They each spent years spent building separate careers in business and construction. It didn’t take long to realize their shared values—work ethic, reliability, and a desire to build something that lasts—could form the foundation of a new venture.
Today, what began as a lifelong friendship has evolved into a high-performing business partnership. Together, they lead NEPS Roofing with a focus on customer experience, clean execution, and honest craftsmanship.

Chris Retos
President, Owner
With over 30 years of hands-on construction experience and 20 years as a business owner, Chris Retos brings unmatched knowledge and dedication to every project. He holds Construction Supervisor Licenses (CSL) in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, is a Certified Roof Inspector with the NRCIA, a CertainTeed ShingleMaster™ Installer, and a licensed Home Improvement Contractor in Massachusetts. Known for his no-shortcuts approach and sharp attention to detail, Chris ensures every NEPS Roofing job is completed with precision, professionalism, and long-term performance in mind.
Chris lives in Walpole, MA, with his wife, Kristy, and their three sons—CJ (8), AJ (7), and JJ (3). The Retos family is deeply involved in the local community, with Kristy teaching Faith Formation classes at St. Timothy’s Church, volunteering regularly, and serving on various school boards. Chris gives back by coaching youth basketball, baseball, and football, helping instill teamwork and discipline in the next generation.

Tim brings a wealth of expertise in real estate and construction to his leadership role at NEPS Roofing. A graduate of Bentley University, Tim is also a licensed General Contractor with a sharp focus on delivering roofing solutions that are precise, reliable, and rooted in customer satisfaction. He oversees operations with a people-first mindset—ensuring every client experience is defined by clear communication, professional execution, and long-term value.
Tim lives in Barrington, Rhode Island, with his wife, Amy, and their four children—three daughters and one son.
